TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Any instructions received by Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating, and/or acceptance of the quotation, will constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions contained herein.

2. A 10% deposit is required prior to commencement of any painting works, with the balance paid out in progress payments, as agreed upon signing the contract.

3. All work valued over $1,000 will be contractually protected by a Home Building Contract from the Office of Fair Trading. All work valued over $12,000 must be covered by Home Warranty Insurance, which will be calculated into the quotation.

4. The Client will have the opportunity to inspect the property and thereafter has five working days prior to making final payment to notify Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating of any alleged defect in the painting work or failure to comply with the quotation. After the five days have expired, the painting work will be presumed free of any defect and Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating will be entitled to full payment.

5. Any finished work damaged as a result of other tradespeople on the job site will be charged at an additional cost of $60 per hour to correct.

6. Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating will amend touch ups required at an additional cost calculated as an hourly rate of $60 per hour. This cost is an extension on the original contract price.

7. Colours selected by client are to be given in writing prior to painting commencement. Additional fees may apply for excessive colour choices; this excess is at Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating’s discretion. Colour changes will also attract an additional fee.

8. Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating reserves the right to take photographs for promotional and marketing use of completed projects and the right to use information from customer surveys on the business website.

9. A minimum call out fee of four hours at $60 per hour will be incurred.

10. Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating is only liable for the extent of damage for the work carried out.

11. If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be invalid, void or illegal or unenforceable, the validity, existence, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected, prejudiced or impaired.

12. Crossing the Line Painting and Decorating reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time.
